Hanni & Lincoln | International Destination Wedding in Helsinki, Finland

I don’t even know where to start when sharing the magic that was Hanni & Lincoln’s wedding. First with the fact that it’s always extra special when our clients are our friends. We met H&L at The University of Southern Maine where Cole and Linc played basketball together and Hanni & I would be at every game cheering from the sidelines. We shared dinner and date nights while being neighbors in Westbrook for a few years. They were on the middle of the dance floor for our wedding and it all came full circle as we got to document such a special day in their love story.

When Hanni texted me after getting engaged about shooting their wedding in Finland (her home country), the answer was obviously a HELL YES. An international wedding with our friends? Dream come true.

We arrived to Helsinki on Wednesday so that we could capture their welcome party on Thursday and wedding day on Saturday. We loved wandering the city with these two and getting to know their friends and family even more.

& their actual wedding day was completely beautiful and a celebration to remember. From taking the ferry to Suomenlinna where they shared a heartfelt ceremony with personal vows and a beautiful poem to celebrate Hanni’s late father that had us all in tears. Their party continued inside Tenalji von Fersen which was a striking venue with high arches and weathered bricks. They rocked the dance floor and you could feel the love between the two of them and their close knit circle of friends.

It was a true beauty to witness Hanni & Lincoln becoming husband and wife and sharing such a beautiful city that they hold so dear in their hearts with all their loved ones.

This is a wedding we will never forget. We love you H&L.
