Colleen & Patrick | Cape Cod Wedding at Nauticus Marina

Anytime we have the chance to venture to Cape Cod for a wedding, we are happy. And Colleen & Patrick’s wedding did not disappoint!

Ever since Ashley & Mike’s wedding at Nauticus Marina we’ve been waiting to come back and document another beautiful wedding in a sailcloth tent overlooking the water.

Colleen and Pat enjoyed a quiet morning getting ready with their wedding party, a beautiful church ceremony, beach portraits, and celebration at the marina. The dusty blues, hydrangeas, and charm of the coastal gray buildings win our hearts every time but it was Colleen and Pat’s love story that made it so special. These two compliment each other perfectly and it was so incredible to see all their family and friends come together to support them and join in on the celebration.

But the most memorable part of the wedding for me was at the end of the night when I said my goodbyes to the couple that Colleen pulled me aside, looked at me with tears in her eyes and expressed her genuine gratitude and appreciation for my presence and my work at her wedding. She reminded me that my job isn’t just taking pretty pictures. It’s making couples feel loved, beautiful, confident, and at ease on their wedding day.

It’s been a tough year in the event industry, and this small moment of gratitude makes it all worth it. It reminds us again why we do what we do. We believe we have the best job in the world - connecting with incredible couples & capturing their love stories.
