Add On Feature: Rehearsal Dinner & Welcome Party Coverage | Maine Wedding Photographer&Videographer

One of the best things about weddings is having all of your favorite people in one place. That's why so many of our couples decide to extend the celebration beyond just the wedding day. From Thursday lobster bakes, Friday night welcome parties, and day after brunches we love seeing how couples are embracing a full weekend of celebrations.

And if you're bringing everyone together & celebrating then you should absolutely get photo & video coverage of it! Documenting the whole weekend is one of our favorite things to do. We love getting to know our couples on a deeper level and connecting with their family and friends before the big day. The moments captured on these extra days are so invaluable. Maybe it's speeches from your in-laws at rehearsal dinner or fireworks at your welcome party. When you look back on your wedding photography & videography 10, 20, 50 years from now you want to be able to relive the entire weekend.

So what does coverage look like? I want to start by saying that every wedding photographer & videographer's packages look different so I can only speak to the way we design our collections. The way we structure our packages allows clients to build the add ons and coverage that first their needs and budget. So you can definitely add on photo & video for the night before or even Thursday or day after. We start our Rehearsal Dinner / Welcome Party coverage at 3 hours. This looks a little different for each couple but typically this would cover a few portraits of the couple, family, and wedding party before dinner, the dinner & speeches, and then the beginning portion of their welcome party if they had one. You can always add more coverage if you want more captured but we have found throughout the years this is a good starting point.
