Weekend in Nashville | Group Getaway | Life With The Libbys
One year ago, before the world shut down, we spent a long weekend in Nashville, Tennessee and I'm so excited to recap our trip and share some recommendations with all of you.
The Back Story:
If you followed along on social media, you know that I surprised my husband with a trip to Nashville. He had no idea where we going until the night before (I gave him a few hints throughout the week) and then once we arrived at the airport in Nashville, we surprised him again by bringing along two of his high school best friends and their girlfriends. The girls and I had been planning the getaway for months!
About a year before, my husband went to Nashville for his bachelor party and ended up getting food poisoning so he wasn't able to enjoy most of the trip. We always joked about going back, so we thought it was the perfect destination for a group getaway and even better as a surprise!
Day 1:
Arrive in Nashville @ 9:30 AM
Brunch at City Fire
Bottles of champagne & yummy food located in the Gulch.
Explore the Area:
Anyone else sorta obsessed with Reece Witherspoon? Also blue & white stripes is so on brand.
Another celebrity crush - Jessie James Decker.
Not sure if I was hoping I would see her or Eric more!
Iconic Wings The iconic 'What Lifts You' wings are located just steps outside of Kittenish if you wanted to swing by or wait in the long line for a photo op! I wasn't really into waiting in line, but I love how all of Nashville has murals and beautiful decor.
This was one of our favorite stops! Although, I might skip the moonshine tasting next time. Such a fun location with food, drinks, live music, and an awesome outdoor area with basketball hoops, corn hole, beer pong, and lounge sets.
Check into Airbnb I couldn't recommend this airbnb more. It was amazing. Not only was it centrally located, it was clean & beautiful inside. We especially loved that each of the three bedrooms had it's own bath - perfect when traveling with couples! It even had an awesome rooftop deck.
This came highly recommend, and it did not disappoint. Such a fun atmosphere for snacks, cocktails, and bowling!
Day 2:
Anyone else love to workout when they travel? My body struggles so much when it's out of routine and eating and drinking so much! So squeezing in a workout is important. This bootcamp class was hard but fun - thanks Rachel for dragging our butts here!
PRO TIP
When working out in new cities make sure to look into ClassPass!
It's what I use as my membership to go to multiple studios for barre, spin, bootcamp and more! And works in other big cities too! Use this code for $30 off your plan.

Brunch at Whiskey Kitchen Chicken & Waffles? Yes please! Bloody, Mimosas, and especially loved the elderflower pitcher we shared!
Pedal Tavern Embracing the full tourist vibes with a Nashville Pedal Tavern! The guys did this on their bachelor trip and had a lot of fun (although Cole recommends not going first thing in the morning!) We booked a 4:00 ride and it was perfect to lead into the night. You can BYOB and the drivers are incredible tour guides, bartenders, DJs, all of the above!
Broadway If you're in Nashville, I feel like you have to visit Broadway. Tons of country artists own bars & restaurants down the strip and a lot of them have really cool rooftop bars with lots of live music with incredible views.
Day 3:
Breakfast at Airbnb
One of my favorite parts of renting an airbnb is that you can cook some of your own meals to try to be a little healthy and save some bucks on eating out every meal! Our airbnb had an incredible kitchen that we took full advantage of!
Uncommon James The most beautiful dainty jewelry and adorable baby clothes by Kristen Cavallari!
Nashville isn't all beer & fried chicken. This tacos & margarita spot was perfect for lunch.
Special thanks to my college friend, Lindsey Merrill, for reserving us an igloo at the Bobby Hotel Rooftop! This was absolutely amazing and one of our favorite parts of the trip! We stayed for a few hours and enjoyed cocktails & hot cider. Such a good idea if that weather isn't ideal but you still want a fun 'outside' experience
Dinner at Hampton Social Leave it to me to travel to Nashville but find a restaurant with a nautical New England vibe. The Hampton Social did not disappoint. Not only is the aesthetics and decor to die for, the food & drinks were amazing! We especially loved the brussel sprouts and the guys loved their cocktails in a shell!
Bars & Live Music on Broadway
We had plans to visit Midtown for drinks & live music but because we were so close we opted for another night on Broadway.
Day 4:
Trying to get our bodies back into routine after a night of drinking we all enjoyed smoothie bowls at this adorable juice spot!
Life is about balance, right? We walked down the street and grabbed some donuts from Five Daughters on our way out.
Explore 12 South
Last but not least, more tacos!
Overall, Nashville was such a fun city that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a weekend getaway! We found that 4 days & 3 nights was just the right amount of time. When I returned home I felt like I needed a small detox because my body is not used to eating & drinking that much - but SO worth it.
Nashville is a perfect destination for bachelorette & bachelor trips, and we also highly recommend going with a group like we did.
