10 Things We're Looking Forward to in 2025 | New England & Destination Wedding Photographer & Videographer

As we close the books on a transformative year, we’re filled with excitement for everything 2025 has in store. From dream destination weddings to personal milestones, here’s a glimpse into what we’re looking forward to in the year ahead:

1. Destination Weddings in Barbados and California

We’re thrilled to be packing our bags for the Caribbean’s turquoise waters and California’s sun-soaked coastlines. Destination weddings have always been a favorite of ours, and 2025 is giving us the chance to document love stories in two stunning locales. Whether it’s the lush tropical vibes of Barbados or the dramatic cliffs of California’s coastline, we can’t wait to capture magic in these beautiful settings.

2. Working with New Vendors and Venues

This year, we’re expanding our creative relationships by partnering with incredible vendors and exploring new venues. We’re especially excited to work with XO Kate Events, as well as visit stunning locations like Terranea Resort and Mt. Hope Farm. Fresh collaborations inspire us to push the boundaries of creativity, and we can’t wait to see what unfolds.

3. Returning to Favorite Venues and Planners

Familiar places feel like home, and we’re thrilled to return to some of our most-loved venues like The Viewpoint, Hidden Pond, and more. Working with talented planners like Lani Toscano, Wed in Maine, and AMC Weddings is always a highlight, and we look forward to continuing to create unforgettable moments with them.

4. Deepening Vendor Relationships

Building connections has been a cornerstone of our business, and this year, we’re committed to nurturing both established relationships and new friendships we’ve made—including those forged at the Engage Summits we attended back in December. Through upcoming WIPA events and local networking, we’re excited to grow alongside our industry peers.

5. Growing Our Team

We’re proud to announce that The Libbys team has grown to include four talented associate photographers! For couples seeking photography-only coverage or for weekends when we’re fully booked, our associates offer the same elevated experience and signature style imagery. 6. Personal Travel Adventures

Beyond our destination weddings, 2025 will also be a year of personal exploration. We’re returning to Todos Santos, Mexico—this time with our daughter—for a relaxing family getaway. We’re also in the early stages of replanning our Italian getaway that had to be postponed in 2020. Travel fuels our creativity, and we’re so excited for these adventures. 7. Investing in Our Craft

We’re dedicated to growth, and this year we’re refining our skills through mentorships, educational opportunities, and some exciting new gear upgrades. Every investment we make is designed to enhance the experience and imagery we deliver to our clients.

8. Embracing Personal Happiness

Balance is key, and 2025 will be about prioritizing joy. From date nights and quality time with friends to diving into new hobbies like pickleball and trying new recipes, we’re focusing on elevating our wellness. Renovating our basement into a home gym and wellness space is high on our list—manifesting it now!

9. Watching Grey Grow

Parenthood is an incredible journey, and we’re loving this stage of life with our daughter, Grey, who’s now 3. She’s a bundle of energy and curiosity, with a love for puzzles, Barbies, and sports like soccer and basketball. The off-season gives us time to make memories and we're looking forward to lake days in the summer and cozy family moments.

10. Elevate: My Word of the Year

“Elevate” is my guiding word for 2025. Whether it’s exceeding client expectations, honing our craft, or fostering meaningful relationships, we’re striving to rise to new heights. Personally, it’s about being a present and connected mom, wife, and friend while continually growing into the best version of ourselves.
