10 Bachelorette Destinations & Theme Inspiration

It's no surprise that we love a celebration and when it comes to all things wedding we think you should totally embrace all of it. We've seen a trend toward destination bachelorettes for a while and honestly love it. There is truly something so special about being able to go on a vacation with all your closest girlfriends. A long weekend away with your people is exactly what you need pre-wedding to pump you up and get you grounded for the big day.

We have complied 10 of our favorite destinations (that we have traveled to ourselves) that we think would be perfect for your bach party.

Miami, Florida

Okay, Miami makes top of the list because it was what I chose for my destination bachelorette. If you missed my blog post recapping all the details - you can find it here. The ultimate weekend in Miami is complete with Hyde Beach Club Pool Party. Boat/Yacht Rental, and Dinner/Night Life on South Beach or Downtown.

Nashville, Tennessee

Not just for country music lovers - a Nash Bash is a great getaway for the girls. Check out this blog post for our weekend round up with a group of friends. Favorite highlights that would be perfect for your weekend would be Pedal Tavern, Night on Broadway, and walking around popping into shops like Kittenish, Draper James, and Uncommon James.

Tulum, Mexico

Take me back to Tulum. We recently went to Tulum for my best friend's 30th and it would make an ultimate destination for a bachelorette. Yacht Rental, Dinner & Drinks at RosaNegra, and sip coconut mojitos by cenotes at Vesica. There are SO many places that would be perfect for you & your girls. Check out my blog post with more details.

Cape Cod, Massachusetts

For my Maine girls that want to get away but not too far - Cape Cod makes for a great weekend roadtrip. Laid back beach days, exploring Provincetown, and getting an airbnb where everyone can connect and unwind.

30A, Florida

Oh how I can't wait to go back to 30A! If you can splurge on a rental in Alys Beach - DO IT. You will feel like you got transported to Europe and could spend a whole day walking around admiring the design and architecture. While there isn't much night life in 30 A it would make for a beautiful low key getaway. Brunch at Raw & Juicy, Dinner at Pescado's Rooftop bar, and days bouncing back between the beach and the pool. I love that everything is walkable and you can always ride rented bikes to and from the little beach communities. Alys Beach and Rosemary were definitely my favorites. Blog post coming soon with more details.

Charleston, South Carolina

If you haven't been to Charleston - now is the perfect time to go. So much great food and shopping. A few favorites we would add to a bach weekend would be drinks Camellia’s Champagne Bar, spin class at Jibe Cycling (a Maine fav), and Street Wandering around Rainbow Row. Blog post coming soon from our 2022 visit.

New York, New York

I don't think you can go wrong with NYC. While I'll be honest I've never experienced night life in NYC, I have spent a few weekends in the city and would love to go back with my girls. Revisiting While We Were Young, Hunt + Fish Club, and Champagne Brunch Sail with Manhattan by Sail. If you're looking for more recs check out my blog post recapping my weekend wedding dress shopping in the city here.

Joshua Tree & Palm Springs, California

This is another place on my list I'd love to revisit. Joshua Tree is the perfect destination for a laid back, outdoor getaway and if you wanted a night/day out you could pop over to Palm Springs which is only about 1 hour away. I fell in love with all the airbnbs in this area you could really make your rental a destination in itself. From countless hike options, vintage shops, to gorgeous views at every turn Joshua Tree is spectacular. If you want to spice it up head on over to Palm Springs and try brunch at Cheekys or drinks on the roof at Azucar. More details in a blog coming soon.

Portland, Maine

I try not to forget that we live in such a beautiful place with wonderful food and things to do. If you want to stay local - Portland has so much to offer. I put together a list of our favorite small businesses to support on this blog post where you can find everything from food & drinks, workouts, and things to do. My top three things for a bach weekend would be sailing around Casco Bay with Portland Schooner Company, "elevated" bar hopping grabbing cocktails and tapas at favorites like Paper Tiger, Blyth & Burrows, Hunt and Alpine (honestly the list could go on), and then a fun night of dancing at local dive bar favorite Bubbas Sulky Lounge (iykyk).

Zion / Lake Powell, Utah

Another western favorite - Utah! Something about those pink rocks just make my heart happy. If you're an adventurous and laid back bride this would be the destination for you. Spend a few days around Zion National Park and then head over to Lake Powell and rent a houseboat. The perfect place to unplug and connect with the ones you love most with views unlike anything I've ever seen. I'm headed back to this area for the third time in just a few weeks so I'll be sure to follow up with more recommendations. All I know is our houseboat vacation was one of the top trips I've ever taken. I've suggested it to so many others and we can't wait to do it again.
